The President

The president came and visited good ole Schenectady yesterday (the original visit was delayed because of the shootings in Arizona).  I was working and missed the whole thing.  Keith, Phoebe and Keira did not though.  Phoebe was home from school due to a snow storm in which the streets where not plowed.  I got stuck in the middle of the street and Keith had to push me out so he decided to make the 2 hour delay into a day off.  Apparently route 7 and 890 were plowed so well for the President though you wouldn't have even realized that we have had three major storms in two and a half weeks (hmmm, maybe that is where the plow that should have been doing MY street was! Ya think?)

Keith finally got the car out of the driveway and took the girls to the fish store and on the way back was not allowed to cross the bridge to our house.  Instead he was rerouted down 890 which forced him and the girls to have to witness the Presidential motorcade driving by them in the opposite direction.  When they finally got home they received a phone call from my parents who told them to go outside.  They ran outside and got to see Air Force One fly over the house.  (That would be a second time for Keira...not bad for a three year old from Upstate NY, oh and even my ultra Conservative parents can get excited over a democratic president if there is an airplane involved--they're such dorks ).

So they had an exciting day and I got to work.  Blah!
